Today we had our Number unit test in Math. Almost all students completed the test today, so those will be coming home marked in the next little while. We continued working on our weather in the seasons journal page in French. In Language Arts, we discussed and started practicing how we can take a boring sentence and make it more interesting and clear using elaborative detail. We will continue practicing this important writing skill tomorrow. We also started reading a new novel today, The Boundless by Kenneth Oppel. Students are already making some great inferences and predictions about the main character and setting.
In Social Studies we started exploring the Cordillera region of Canada. We examined pictures of the region and made observations and asked questions based on these, then began reading and taking jot notes from the Cordillera chapter of textbook with a partner.
