Happy Winter Break!!
We had a fun day leading up to the break, playing Prodigy for the first half of math class, followed by the choice between finishing up multiplication colouring sheets and Sudoku from earlier this week or playing another game of SNAKE. Phys. Ed. brought more parachute play. We had Circle time to share about our lives as well as to support one another in concerns we had. We almost finished chapter 7 of The Boundless in Language Arts, and will come back to that after the break. This afternoon brought our final carolling time, with a special visit from a festive version of Harry the Hawk and another handbell performance. We ended the day with a movie and snacks for our Positive Choices reward.
Report cards are coming home today. Please read through the report card, and then sign and return just the envelope, which will be used again for Term 2's report card. If your child was absent today, the report card can be picked up from the office during the hours they are open today and tomorrow, otherwise it will be sent home with your child after the break. If your child is on an IPP, those have been emailed out already if you requested an electronic version, otherwise a physical copy will be in the report card envelope. Please sign and return just the signature sheet or reply to the email to indicate your agreement.
There are three marked math tests coming home today for you to look over. These do not need to be returned.
A reminder that science fair trifolds are here in the office, so if your child had signed up for the science fair but not yet brought home their trifold, please arrange to pick that up ASAP. If you are unable to get it during the office's hours today or tomorrow, you can get it after the break.
One family count notice is coming home today, as mentioned in yesterday's post.
The Cordillera region brochure was due today. If your child has not completed this assignment, please support them in finishing it over the break. Thank-you!
A huge thank-you for all of the kind gifts and sweet cards that students brought me today! I really appreciate everyone who thought of me this holiday season, and return your heartfelt holiday wishes!
Thank-you for a wonderful beginning to the school year! I look forward to what 2020 holds for our class! I wish each of you a wonderful winter break and a very happy holiday season! Classes resume Tuesday, January 7 - see you then!
